Step One: Recognizing the Need

You may be a new business owner, and if so, congrats on starting this exciting and overwhelming time! Now you are likely trying to think through the best decisions about next steps in growth and promotion. Or maybe you’ve owned your company for years, but have never really invested in the increasingly important area of branding. 

No matter how long you’ve been in business, building a strong brand is vital. This is what will grow attention, create recognition, and establish credibility and trust with your customer base. Step Two: The Inquiry

Now that you know you need a branding shoot, it’s time to reach out! I know this can be an intimidating step, but rest assured that we can’t wait to hear from you. I am always happy to take time to walk you through any questions or concerns you have. Step Three: Discovery Call

Once you reach out, I will set up a call where you and I (and often my assistant as well) can chat about your branding shoot needs. Discussing the basics of your goals for using the photos will help us create customized quote options for you.

Step Four: Quotes and Contract

We will prepare your quote (or quotes) based on the scope of the shoot. These quotes will also include any licensing variations depending on how you intend to use your photos. Once you approve a quote, we will prepare a contract for your signature and move on to the planning stage!

Step Five: Planning Your Branding Shoot

This is where the fun really begins! We will schedule a date for your shoot and begin planning details. You’ll receive a Pre-Shoot Questionnaire that will help us get to know you and your company better so that we can fully customize the shoot. This also helps you think through and clarify the message you want to send about yourself, your work, and your team. Once we review your questionnaire, we will send you a Brand Session Guide. This guide will provide direction on choosing clothing, tips for hair/makeup, and info on props and styling. 

Step Six: Pre-Session Zoom Call

The last step before your shoot is a call with us to finalize details. We will identify the stories you want to tell through your photos, plan for props we will need, and think through location ideas. This is a great time to ask questions about what to expect the day of the shoot, and collect any information you will need to pass along to your team. From this call, I’ll put together a detailed shoot plan that will also identify opportunities for where you could use your images.

Step Seven: Your Branding Shoot

It’s finally time! This is when the plans come together and we meet up for your photo shoot. By this point, we will have a clear vision for your brand goals and messaging. That means we can get to work and just enjoy bringing that vision to life. 

Step Eight: The Great Wait

After your shoot, we will begin processing, editing, and compiling your images into a completed set of branding photos. All you have to do is wait, although sometimes that’s the hardest part!

Step Nine: Your Gallery

The anticipation is over, and we are ready to deliver your gallery of custom, professional branding photos! Now you can enjoy impressing your customers and community with images that show the “who” and “why” behind your work, as well as the spirit and dedication of your team.
